COLLEGE FOOTBALL KEY REVENGE GAMES THIS WEEK/SOLID BETTING STATS FROM LAST WEEK TO WATCH FOR!
COLLEGE FOOTBALL (FRI-SAT/NOV 15-16) KEY REVENGE OFF LAST YEAR, LAST WEEKS IMPT. BETTING STATS TO WATCH FOR!
First let’s look at the REVENGE Angles for this weekend’s games off last year’s same match ups, starting with the teams who Lost last year and are now the Favorite this weekend.
LAST YEARS SCORE:
1). NORTH CAROLINA (38) – PITT (35). Pitt now favorite (-4).
2). WEST VIRGINIA (35) – KANSAS STATE (6). Kansas State now favorite (-14).
3). GEORGIA TECH (49) – VIRGINIA TECH (28). Va Tech now favorite (-5 1/2).
4). NC STATE (52) – LOUISVILLE (10). Louisville now favorite (-4).
5). CALIFORNIA (15) – USC (14). USC now favorite (-6 1/2).
6). TEXAS TECH (17) – TCU (14). TCU now favorite (-3).
7). MISSOURI (38) – FLORIDA (17). Florida is now favorite (-7).
8). ARIZONA (44) – OREGON (24). Oregon now favorite (-27).
REST OF LAST YEAR’S FINAL SCORES TO WATCH THIS WEEKEND:
1). CLEMSON (63) – WAKE FOREST (3). Wake: Best WR is out for this game.
2). NOTRE DAME (44) – NAVY (22). Navy: Maybe most Improved team in country, now catching (+7 1/2).
3). IOWA (48) – MINNESOTA (31). Minny: Off biggest win in decades, now strangely the dog (+3) vs. Iowa team that struggles to score (last week only 295 total yards, 71-51 total plays disadv).
4). MICHIGAN (21) – MICHIGAN STATE (7). Michigan State – had only 94 total yards last year, 23 Rushes for 15 yards. Now off tough loss to Illinois in game they dominated (4 turnovers).
5). TEXAS A+M (26) – SOUTH CAROLINA (23).
6). GEORGIA (27) – AUBURN (10). Auburn: Huge “Must Win” spot for HC Malzahn. Last year his Offense got only 274 total yards, allowing 516.
7). FRESNO STATE (23) – SAN DIEGO STATE (14). Note: this game likely ends super close, and line (near PK) is dead right line.
8). OKLAHOMA (66) – BAYLOR (33). Baylor: ran 101 plays in that loss, Okla only 54. Baylor now undefeated, but off 3 OT game last week vs. TCU. Okla won a wild shootout.
9). WASHINGTON STATE (41) – STANFORD (38). Wash. State (-10 1/2) here. Insane. Laying double digits with this roller coaster is just nuts. Stanford always a crapshoot week to week.
10). OHIO STATE (52) – RUTGERS (3). Rutgers gained only 134 yards last year, with a much better Offense. This same score this year though doesn’t cover the spread (-52).
KEY STATS AND BETTING TIDBITS FROM LAST WEEK’S GAMES:
1). APPALACHIAN STATE: Beat S. Carolina (20-15), but S Caro ran 85 plays to 57, Out first downed them 22-11, and App St only gained 202 total yards. (I had SC, so tough to swallow).
2). MICHIGAN STATE: Lost 37-34, yet had 526 total yards, ran 87-69 plays, but 4 turnovers changed game completely and now they head on terrible down note to face rival Michigan.
3). SMU/EAST CAROLINA: Craziest game of last week, SMU won 59-51, gaining 636 total, allowing 644 total. 100 total points scored (my Over won easily here).
4). BOSTON COLLEGE: Lost 38-31, but dominated game with 93 plays to only 57 to Fla. State. Had 31 FD’s to only 19. (I had BC here, my first Best Bet loss in CFB all year (9-1 now).
5). MISSOURI: This is a sinking ship and they only scraped 198 total yards last week to Georgia. Do NOT bet this Mizzou team anymore.
6). WISCONSIN: Ran 71-51 plays vs. Iowa, outgained them 473-295, and FD advantage was 24-15, but barely hung on to win (24-22).
7). UMASS: This team gained 125 yards last week to a struggling Army team. I’ve said for weeks do NOT bet on them, no matter how many points they are getting. The Defense was on field 83 plays being pounded by Army run game, running only 48 plays on Offense. They are now being sent out for slaughter, but amazingly they face one of worst Offenses in CFB, in years, Northwestern. this week, and NW is laying (-43). FOURTY THREE points to lay if you take NW, a team that can barely complete a pass over 5 yards. This is how bad UMass is, possibly now worst team in decades (although Akron giving them a run for their money. U Mass has a win, which now is a miracle from Heaven.
8). SAN DIEGO STATE: Lost (17-13) to Nevada, yet the Defense, as usual, was outstanding, allowing only 226 total yards, holding a 71-51 total plays advantage.
9). TEXAS: The Longhorns Defense played it’s best game of season, allowing a hot Kansas State team to gain only 304 total yards.
10). TENNESSEE: Won (17-13) over Kentucky, but had only 296 total yards and Defense on field for 71 plays (Kentucky D on field only 46 plays).
